About This Course

Cell-Based Seafood: The Future of Sustainable Aquaculture explores a frontier of food technology: producing real seafood directly from cells, without catching or farming whole animals. You learn the science — sourcing and culturing fish and shellfish cells, scaffolds and bioreactors, and shaping texture and nutrition — and the bioprocessing needed to scale it. The course sets this against the sustainability and food-security case, and the hurdles of cost, regulation and consumer acceptance. You finish able to reason about cultivated-seafood technology and its prospects. A verified e-Certificate of competency and e-Marksheet from the Deep Science & Technology Consortium.

🎯 Program Aim
