About This Course

Edible Sensors for Real-Time Food Monitoring explores an emerging field where sensing meets things we can safely eat. You study the biocompatible and edible materials that make such sensors possible, the mechanisms they use to detect spoilage, contaminants, pH or freshness, and how they transmit a readout. The course spans applications in food-quality and safety monitoring and ingestible health sensing, alongside the materials, safety and regulatory hurdles unique to devices that enter the body or the food supply. You finish able to reason about designing an edible sensing system. A verified e-Certificate of competency and e-Marksheet from the Deep Science & Technology Consortium.
